Inspired by classical art, European architecture and luminous images, Sophie May Photo works with couples that have a refined aesthetic and wish for the story of genuine fleeting moments.

Sophie May

Based in rural Leicestershire with my Husband, rag doll cats and miniature schnauzer. I have a love for romance and film photography and I am the happiest when working with in love couples surrounded by beautiful scenery.

I was taught how to use film cameras as a child and furthered my learning with a degree in photography whilst exhibiting portraiture work around the UK. I began my career in a fashion studio and it wasn’t long before the wedding photography became the true passion. Applying the preferred analogue technique and editorial style to the weddings Sophie May Photo’s fine art style evolved.

I have worked on many personal photography projects across the years. In 2017 I was awarded with British Journal of Photography Portrait of Britain, and exhibited nationwide.
